Our Values

1. The Bible, God's Holy Word

We believe the Bible is the God-breathed, inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. According to 2 Peter 1:21, the Holy Spirit used men to write the Bible based on His divine leading and directing so that His perfect word was conveyed through the style and traits of each Bible contributor without removing their unique qualities and experiences. We believe that God has promised to preserve His Word according to Psalm 12:6-7 and that He has preserved it throughout the generations. We believe that in this generation the King James Version is God’s preserved Word for English speaking people and although it is not re-inspired it is inerrant, infallible, and “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

2. Theology

We believe that there is only one God (Deut. 6:4, Mark 12:32, 1 Cor. 8:6) and that He is eternal, holy, all powerful, all knowing, and all present as represented in Isaiah 40. We believe that while being one God He is triune representing Himself in three distinct persons which are God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ the Son of God. Though all three are distinct persons they are all one in essence thus one God not three though our Human minds cannot comprehend it.

3. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was not created, but is God the Son and has been since eternity past and will be for all eternity. According to Colossians 1:16 He is the creator and sustainer of all that is existence. He was born of a virgin (Luke 1:34-35) through the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit so that He could take on human flesh and walk among men that He might redeem mankind from it’s fallen state (1 Tim 3:16). He did not cease to be God but was 100% God and 100% man which is also beyond human comprehension. While here on earth He lived a sinless life, healed the sick, blind, and lame, taught the people through parables, preached sermons, and did many other miracles. The climax of his earthly ministry was His crucifixion in which He laid down His life willingly as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world. He was placed in a borrowed tomb and on the third day he rose from the dead in triumph providing the means of redemption necessary for every man, woman, boy, and girl. After showing himself alive by many infallible proofs (Acts 1:3), He ascended unto Heaven where He is seated on the right hand of God the Father (Heb 12:2) to ever make intercession for us (Rom 8:34, Heb 7:25).

4. Mankind

God has created man in His own image (Gen. 1:26-27) meaning that like God man is a triune being with body, soul, and spirit. God has given man a freewill to chose for himself that which he will. God created Adam, the first man, from the dust of the earth and likewise created Eve, the first woman from one of Adam’s ribs. They were created good and given the work of dressing and keeping the garden. The only restriction placed upon them was that they were not allowed to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Eve was tempted of Satan and ate of the tree and gave to her husband likewise (Gen. 3:6). Because Adam was the head of the human race and chose knowingly to rebel against God he plunged the entire human race into sin (Rom. 5:12). Thus man does not become a sinner when he sins, but is rather born a sinner and sins because he is a sinner (Rom. 3:23). Because of Adam’s sin all humanity was condemned to death for all have sinned (Rom. 5:12). Since man has a freewill he can chose to accept or reject the offer of salvation that God has provided for all men.

5. Salvation

There is only one means of Salvation and that is by believing by faith that Jesus Christ’s shed blood on the cross of Calvary can cleanse the sinner from every stain of sin and satisfy the holiness of almighty God. This salvation is based solely on the work that Christ did on the cross and there is nothing mankind can do to earn it or attain by works (Eph 2:8-9). The Gospel or Good news is that Christ has died, been buried, and is risen from the grave. All mankind has been offered this gift of salvation (John 3:16) but it is up to each individual to “call upon the name of the Lord” (Rom 10:13) and “confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised from the dead” (Rom 10:9).

6. Eternal Security

The work of Salvation is based upon Christ’s work not man’s work thus eternal life is given because of the fact that a person has placed their faith in Christ and His atoning work. At salvation believers are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Eph. 4:30). Thus as John states in his epistle chapter 5 verse 12 “He that hath the son hath life; and he that hath not the son hath not life.” Thus there is no in between and since it was not man’s works that procured eternal life it is not man’s work that can cast away eternal life. John also makes it clear in verse 13 of the same chapter that the believer can know that he has eternal life not hope or wish that he has eternal life. The point is also worth making that if one could lose eternal life it would not be eternal but rather temporal life. It is God that saves not the individual thus it is God that keeps one until the day of redemption when our faith will become sight.

7. The Church

The church is not a building but rather the Body of Christ (Col. 1:18). It is comprised of all believers who have placed their trust in Christ and His atoning work alone for salvation. Believers are placed into the body of Christ at salvation by the work of the Holy Spirit. The church as a body has been called upon by God to assemble themselves together as members (Heb 10:25). The church is an assembly of believers who are come together with the purpose of glorifying God (1Cor. 10:31), edifying the saints (Rom 14:19), and proclaiming the Gospel to the lost of this world (Acts 1:8). The Church is to be autonomous in that each local assembly is to govern itself based on the Word of God and liberty of conscience. It was never intended to be a means of salvation or a form of local government and rule as some heretical religions have constructed it but rather a called out assembly for the cause of Christ and His glory.
